1. Go to http://www.xml-sitemaps.com/ and put in your website address. Wait while they generate the XML sitemap for you.

CAUTION: follow the instructions HERE - not the instructions on the XML sitemaps site.

2. Scroll to the bottom of the results page. Highlight (use your mouse or Ctrl-A or shift-arrow keys) and copy all of the text in the box to your clipboard (pull down menu Edit, click Copy.)

3. Using Notepad or your favorite webpage editor, create an empty file named "sitemap.xml" and paste into it. (Pull down menu Edit, click Paste.) Save the file and upload it to your website in the same folder where your home page is located.

4. Ping Google by putting this web address in your web browser:

http://www.google.com/webmasters/sitemaps/ping?sitemap=http://WWW.YOURSITE.COM/sitemap.xml

Next steps:

1. Get a Google webmaster account if you need to resubmit multiple sites frequently. (Just ask us if you need a Gmail invite - it's a nice place to send high volume list mail to as well.)

2. Send us a note requesting that your site be included in AUTOMATIC sitemap.xml generation when that feature becomes available (based on interest / demand.)
