In the Blogware administrator, click on the Look and Feel tab.
Check to the left that you are on the Main, top level, if you want your color choice to cascade to all your pages.
Choose Templates, then Style (near bottom of list.)
If you see a color and style you like on this page just click the radio button next to it and then click Change at the bottom of the page. If you prefer to put in your own color directly, read on.
Scroll down to the bottom of the page of Styles and click the Customize button.
Scroll down and click in the box below "Current CSS." Press Ctrl-A to highlight all, then Ctrl-C to copy to your clipboard.
Click in the next box under "Custom CSS." Press Ctrl-V to paste. Now scroll within the box down to the:
/*** structural ***/
Change the: background-color: #FFF;
of
table.columns td.left
table.columns td.center
table.columns td.right
to change the left column, center section and right column background, respectively.
Click here to learn about specifying colors for the web.
Be sure to click SAVE after you finish editing the colors, and then check your blog by clicking View Blog near the top of the page.
I like to use Firefox or Mozilla and use a right click on Vew Blog, choosing to Open in a new tab so that I can switch easily between what my blog looks like and making more adjustments to it in the administrator.
